If you’ve been reading my posts and tweets recently, then you’ll have heard me talking about The Circle, our new community hub and co-work space in Dundee. Today is our official launch!
The Circle is the brainchild of Kirsty Thomson, and she’s looking forward to kick-starting a new era for the former Claverhouse Group building. “The generosity of organisations and people in Dundee to get The Circle going has been tremendous. The purpose of The Circle is to increase interactions between organisations, and by providing access to space and opportunities, seeing them thrive. With 120 people registered for our launch, we have definitely got off to a great start.”
Charities, social enterprises and socially-aware businesses will benefit from The Circle where we have offices, co-working and event spaces. As well as providing spaces for organisations to work, The Circle will also be host to a social enterprise café, community gardens and event space for community groups.
Today we’re launching our new Friends of the Circle membership. Friends of The Circle is designed for our community to get the most out of the building and to reward our most enthusiastic supporters.
Friends of The Circle will receive:
- Discounted rates on room bookings
- Discounted daily rate in the co-working space
- Discounts on The Circle events
- Exclusive mailings of The Circle news and events
- Exclusive offers from local businesses
- Access to a growing and committed community of individuals and organisations creating change and growth in businesses, charities and social enterprises
- Free car parking
Along Came Kirsty, Apex Scotland, Ashton McGill, Fields in Trust, Prestige Training and Rathbone are already based in the building. Other groups are already hiring rooms in the building to run training sessions and workshops.
If you’d like to use the space, come for a tour, or simply find out more about The Circle, contact Nicola Donnelly, who’ll be delighted to help you.
